Computer Science Burn Out (...at least for the moment)

I've been feeling burned out lately about technology in general. It was pretty scary at first -- things that would normally excite me a great deal(such as the new iphone, or new processors/other components emerging for example) simply don't. Don't get me wrong, I still love these things, its just that I guess I feel tired of jumping on every bandwagon that rolls by.

Computer Science is a field where you will constantly have to learn new things(such as languages, and protocols). For instance, I "should be" really enthusiastic about to buying an iphone and creating apps for it but I never even bothered to really even try one out. And its not like I don't realize its a phenomenal product -- its a whole new development platform, and you can take it with you to boring places like weddings, funerals, family reunions, etc. and tinker around. For some reason, I just feel indifferent about it.

When I was younger I'd frequent many of the computer fairs that would take place whenever I could; these days I notice that I only attend when really necessary -- like when something "breaks". While there I would feel nostalgic, remembering how it used to feel to be there for 2-3 hours sometimes, making sure to look at everything people were selling, but its just not the same anymore. I'll have to come back to this topic after a week or maybe two...
