Cleopatra

i went to the Cleopatra exhibit while i was in Philly and it was really interesting. my first impression of her was that she was a little narcissistic. she definitely wanted attention and she got it...from a lot of people. i give her a lot of credit for the way she turned the Queendom around. Alexandia which was the main port as well as the central home of Cleopatra is underwater, but the exhibit recovered hundred of artifacts as well as real life statues that once stood before the Queen. Some of the jewlery that was on display was amazing, and you wouldn't think they would be as ornate as they were. They had coins and other currency which was made of all different metals and pure gold. im not going to go in depth if anyone was planning on going, but i liked it. it made me think about was going to be uncovered in years, decades, or centuries from now and the significance the lives we live now will have on the future.

i would recommend anyone to go see the exhibit. it was very interesting and just reading the descriptions of the pieces i looked at was incredible. i wish we were allowed to take pictures because i would have been really cool to document. (i got yelled at but i got one)
