Restaurants

I was at a restaurant the other day, enjoying a nice dinner with my friends, when sure enough a family with three young children came in. At first I didn't think anything of it until the children started acting up and the parents did nothing about it. They just sat there enjoying their dinner while my dinner lost all of its appeal. For all the great parents in the world, the inconsiderate parents ruin everything.

There are certain places where parents just should not bring children. We weren't at Applebees, we were at a relatively fancy restaurant. I think if the children had been well behaved, it would not have been a big deal. The worst part was that I could tell that the wait staff wanted to say something, but didn't know how to go about it.

The problem is not necessarily the kids or the parents, but rather a lack of proper social skills in certain people. I hope that when I become a parent that I will be able to teach my kids the proper way to act.
