Globalization
Globalization to me is something along the lines of diversity, taking in resources and opportunities different groups of people bring to the table. in my definition different groups consist of people from different economic standing, different country of origin, religious background, social and political views. i believe that if everyone took a more objective stance on all the differing opinions and ways of life there are out there, we could have a better country less divided, and the same goes for the rest of the world. everyone gets caught up on numbers and interpretations, sometimes losing the message that was supposed to be conveyed. i don't think one group should have all encumbered power over another group. i feel like we live in a time, or i hope we live in a time where people can believe two different things yet still work towards a common goal. if we get hung up on specific and sometimes "close minded" feelings or attitudes, are we really doing what's best for those population as a whole? this is a question i feel needs to be addressed on a global level. it's definitely relevant because immigration whether it be legal or illegal is happening all over the world and it affects this country and all others every day. if we got over that fact that people are coming and tried to tackle why they were coming, don't you think we could put the collective strength to better use?
