What about the family?

When I spoke about my documentary , I would definitely also include his family. Having an Autistic child can be difficult and I would show how it has destroyed his family. With this, I feel that it would be a smart idea to develop a support group for families struggling with an Autistic child. I feel it is comforting for people to know that they are not alone.

If people could hear stories from other families, than it would perhaps give people hope for their futures. It kills me to have to see this family breaking apart because of Steven. Like I said, he is good with me but he seems to give everyone a hard time. I think it would also be interesting to film Steven's activities alone with different individuals. How is he with his Mom, Dad, brother, teacher, doctor and even me.

It interests me to find this out. I am studying health science at Stonybrook and plan on doing a concentration in disability studies. If I get my degree, I feel that this project would really help me find a job one day with my high involvement in the field.
