I had an ear infection a few months ago and I'm *still* on medication for it even though the infection is gone(I guess I used q-tips too often). I never realized how many people were on medication until I had to wait in line at a CVS for these ear drops. Its ridiculous; its sometimes even crowded at the "special" 2am (see my post about 2am)time. I used to walk into duane reade, cvs, etc. and see people standing around in the back but never really paid them any mind.
Now, I'm paying attention to who's on line waiting for medication more than ever, even if I don't have to be on the line myself. Its not just old people, I see people of all ages on the line to get medication. Sometimes I like to guess what they're taking medication for; I'd especially be suspicious of a pretty girl on the line(even more so if its at 2am - the special time, when presumably no one is around).
This might be something very obvious, but I really think some of these drugs are intentionally designed to be a slow solution to milk everyone. This is my third bottle of these annoying ear drops, and I'm on my second type of drug. Pharmacology is a field I never paid much attention to (mainly because I found it to be pretty boring) but it has my attention now...
