where are you at 2 am?

I was thinking about this question posed in class again; and I think you can tell a lot about someone by asking questions like this or if you're at their house, you can try to tell what rooms or areas they spend most of their time in. 2am in the morning people are probably curled up in their rooms, watching some weird movies that are on, or etc. 3am is a time where (almost) no one is awake, you're seemingly by yourself.

There were times I would just search random things and not know in particular what I was looking for. These days, during times like 3am, I frequent places like slashdot, and blackhatseo. Slashdot is a forum and blog that has a very wide range of topics -- however its not the topics that are exclusive, its the crowd. The people who frequent slashdot are typically the "nerdy" crowd who are usually anti-social and introverted. Intersetingly enough though, they don't seem like it on the forums.

Blackhatseo its a site dedicated to various methods of search engine optimization (hence the "SEO" acronym). They are both pretty fun to read because a lot of members are pretty sarcastic in their responses for some reason and the inevitable debates and flame wars can be fun to read. Oh yeah, there are also several people who are very experienced and often share valuable advice.

2am isn't much like any other time of the day, its a special time. The internet is there as always, ever ready and waiting to provide you information, and so is the guy at the gas station who I see almost every other night who probably wonders why I'm buying food and iced tea every other night (or rather morning). I can tell I'm probably the only one who bothers him because hes always so comfortable and covered up, until I come around. The streets are empty, and there is pretty much no waiting for anything. 2am is cool.
