In class we discussed whether or not certain social networking sites were just too much and if the internet in general provided too much information. In my opinion, I generally agree that we are bombarded with information -- even though most of us immediately close annoying ads and commercials, we still looked at it and saw a name, which was the companies purpose anyway.
Even without being a member on the popular social networking sites, there are many times where I feel very unfocused an I'm thinking of so many different things at once; and I can't relax at all. I'll suddenly feel the need to check email, or check on something else online. On the other hand, I do think its nice to have a way to get in contact with old friends and people from your old schools.
