He is smarter than he looks...

Talking about Steven yesterday, the Autisitc boy that I take care of, I began to really think how he has affected my life. Being with him, you notice the small things in life that you forgot existed. He always makes me appreciate the life that I have and the abilities I was given.

Steven is an amazing young boy that views the world through his soul. He understands what is going on, contrary to what many people may think. He may not be able to learn what we do in school, but how does that make him unable to learn? He knows right from wrong, he knows when someone is sad and trust me, he knows how to tell me he wants something.

His love for balloons, fireworks, swings and spongebob is unexplainable. He looks like he goes into his own world when he is watching his youtube videos with fireworks. He has the ability to have a love for something that we all see as no big deal. I have learned to stop and notice things in life that I never would have because of Steven. The relationship I have with him is one of the most important ones I have in my life. When I start to think that all that is important is work and school, he teaches me how to live again. I know that he loves me for all that I am and I could not ask for more from him.
