"The New Classroom"

The New Classroom idea has to do with a wave of Cisco Systems commercials. In the commercial, the children discuss how they are going on a field trip to China that day. You come to find that a giant projector is used to link students to a Chinese classroom where they are able to interact with the children, as if they were all together.

I feel that this is a positive way that networking can be used. If children are exposed to the world around them at a young age, they can learn to appreciate and understand the way the world works. To see how differently we live from other areas and to learn from children in other countries, can really expand the mind of a child. This will help pull them away from poor networking like facebook and twitter.

I feel this way of learning will make children more willing to go to school and more excited to attend class. I wish I was able to have opportunities like this when I was younger for I feel you learn a lot more valuable information. Today we have sites like we discussed in class such as Chat Roulette, but it would be nice to have discussions with other students and not have to scan through genitalia first.
