I believe that people put a negative connotation with idea of altering your personality . Are u fake because you were a mask? A mask is a cover up to your true character. But everyone wheres a mask to a certain degree depending on there environment. I feel that we put on different hast depending on the environment we are. Though I would like to believe that I stay completely the same to whomever I talk to , that is not true. Just like a product you must know your audience so you can gear and market appropriate. In this situation you are the product and you want to advertise its best qualities. You are the product and by doing this will help you achieve your goal for that particular group. Professional-you , friend-you , family-you should all be different to muse your environment . Now I do not believe that your principles as a person should change just your demeanor which now is occurring increasingly.
In class we spoke about through different social networks people have the ability to change who they are and the effects of that. With the expansion of technology the idea of "wearing different hats" have turned negative because people loose the personal factor by perfecting them selves behind the computer screen. This is how something that can benefit your well being, turns into a problem.
