Would this generation survive without cell phones?

Would we survive without cell phones? I use to make fun of the customers walking into my store complaining about how their phones are not working and they are missing/dropping calls. Sometimes they come in so angry and looking like their life just ended because their cell phones are not working. I use to laugh and comment on how dependent they were of their phones. However, I don’t think I can be without a cell phone myself. I would never go mad just because I’m missing calls or my phone is not working, I certainly need it to get things done.

We have all been sucked into this new world in which staying connected even for the most simplest of things is a must. We have cell phones and the Internet with all these different ways of staying in contact, such as facebook, twitter, my space, you tube, just to mention a few. Oh and Skype. I forgot about that one. I can communicate with my sister and nephew who live in Norway. That’s right Norway. However, we don't really stay in touch because I'm the black sheep of the family. You got to love my independent family. I guess its fine. As long as I have my son, brother, sister in law and my two nieces, I’m good to go. It does not take much to keep me happy. I’m pretty down to earth. I value family time a lot, so as long as I have those people that have made a positive impact in my life, I say throw the cell phone out. It's just another way of people being able to track you down.
