Today I went to Panera and me and my boyfriend got a salad and fruit smoothie. I was very excited that I was hardly consuming any calories and I wouldn't regret this meal. However, when the lady said the cost was $26, it hit me why so many people are over weight. Who has the money to spend each day to eat healthy when fast food is so much cheaper and more convenient?
I feel that if people had healthier food for a more affordable price, they would be more likely to buy it. For instance, every saturday for lunch I get a fruit salad from the bakery. I spend $6 on nothing. It's hard because I work in downtown northport and everything is already over priced as it is. I could get a bigger more fulling meal for the same price but then it would all go right to my ass.
I don't force myself to eat healthy, I genuinely prefer fruit over chocolate, no lie. I also love working out but not at gyms. I think people need to find what works for them and go with it. I feel like people don't see the point in working out if they don't have a gym membership. Any activity is better than no activity at all. Today I played basketball and handball and sweat more than a 250 pound man, sexy I know. I'm exhausted but feel so good at the same time and I think people need to get off their butts and do something because they will notice a big difference!
