My Cousin Vinny

When we were talking about the way women are portrayed in movies, I said in class that I loved Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny. I watched it today and realized even more how much I love the movie. The fact that she is the one that solves the case because of her knowledge with cars, in my opinion is much sexier than a girl that just looks good for the camera.

I'm definitely not a feminist for I look at the way women are portrayed very differently. I think a woman's sexuality is her greatest weapon. I think it is amazing the power that it gives us over men. For instance, being out at the bar and not having to spend a single dime nor having to sleep with any men, is almost like a game. Men will do anything to try and get a girl to believe what he says so you will sleep with them. In the end, the woman always has the final say in whether that is going to happen or not.

Also when we talked about strippers and how men will spend insane amounts of money, just to see a naked body. I think women are given the upper hand and I think rather than complain how we are portrayed as sex objects in a bad way, we should embrace it. I love being a woman and having the ability to call the shots.
