Video Games

So I just recently bought my son a PS3. I had trouble understanding the different things you can do with it , but I'm excited about the options with HD dvd's . My son however, is totally at a different level than I am. I went to different stores to price it and get the best deal. However, the biggest mistake was taking my son along with me. I ended up spending a lot of money. More than I was expecting. Why? Well, first of all I had no idea my son was aware of how you can compete with others while you are logged online. My son is only going to be 7. I thought about it and I said to myself "great, who was the genius who let him know about that". Now I know everyone is probably thinking "your the adult you can say no", however stopped buying my son toys for a very long time because of his sensory processing disorder. Instead I made sure he found it fun to do the necessary things to better his concentration on tasks and his attention span. Besides, I don't approve of him playing video games on weekdays because of school and when he is with me. His father has him on the weekends and he lets him play video games there so I believe that's enough. However, his birthday is coming up soon and he asked to be able to play video games when he is with me. Now that he mastered what the school districts like to call his "learning disability", I believe I can stop being so strict.

So I walked out of the store with the PS3, 4 different video games, one for me and a whole bunch of accessories that I can't even name but that he would need due to the game that he and I picked. I'm not much of a video game player, but if I have to play just to share one more thing in common with my son then so be it. I got to say, I'm just loving technology....PS3 here I come!!!!
