When I went to Boston to see Lady Gaga in concert, apparently the arena has their own drinking laws. I walk up to the counter with my ID, and the lady says that you have to be 25 with an out of state license.... I flipped. Me flipping out did nothing to change this lady's mind, so I had to throw some of my pride out the window. I went up to some men and explained the situation and asked them to buy me beer, I felt like I was 16.
I think that is a ridiculous rule. I don't see how you can take away my legal status in your own arena, just because I am out of state. I guess since I was from New York that really was not helping my case out either. The best part was how happy I was I was finally 21 and I could buy myself a drink with my own ID. Yea apparently not in Boston.
I had no trouble buying beer at stores in Boston, I don't see why this arena had to make it's own rules. Later on in the concert, some girl saw me drinking and asked me to buy her a drink because she wasn't allowed, she was from Maine. I just thought the whole situation was so twisted but I got my beer in the end and didn't have to pay, so I guess it turned out okay. Thank you Boston.
