Class discussion on Lady Gaga

Class discussion was very interesting on Wednesday. Somehow the subject of Lady Gaga and how she carries herself came up again. Many had great things to say about her. Personally, I have nothing against her. I think she is very talented and she genuinely has a beautiful voice, but does she need to dress the way she dresses 24/7? Honestly, I think she would be just as successful. The fact that she pretty much walks around half naked tells me that she is insecure about herself. Does she really believe that by doing what she is doing that it's the only way to get her message across? I get it. She wants to inspire others to not be scared of showing how you feel and live the way you want to live, but something tells me that at home, if she had children of her own she would not be walking around in underwear and fishnets stockings all the time. You can make a point without having to get naked and draw so much attention to yourself. Why does she need the attention? To me it just shows insecurity. There is nothing wrong in being yourself, but please try to do it decently.

I compare her sometimes to Angelina Jolie. I feel Angelina is a talented actress, but does she really have to expose herself in movies to get more attention? Don't her lips give her enough of it? Granted, Angelina has done movies in which she doesn't get naked, but let's face, many of her movies have her in some questionable positions and I feel that she doesn't have to do that to keep her fan base and continue her popularity. Sometimes I think that she adopts all these kids to compensate for all the bad she does in movies so that people can still see her as a humanitarian. I watch her movies, but some of them just have unnecessary parts.
