So I was walking in the mall and I was headed to the bathroom. Walking in front of me were two young girls. One girl was telling the other "you are only 13, do you know what your parents will do to you if the teat comes back positive and your pregnant", I was very disturbing to hear this. I was not being nosy. They were talking loud enough that you could hear them. I do not think they were paying attention to that. So they walk into the bathroom and I'm right behind them. The one girl has the pregnancy test with her and goes into one bathroom stall and I go into the other. I come out first and go straight to the sin to wash my hands. Now usually, I just walk away and let my hands air dry. This time, I was so curious over this whole situation that I decided to kill time by using the hand dryer. Nest thing you know, all I hear is the girl starting to cry. She comes out and decides to say that she was gonna run away because she believed her parents were gonna kill her. She looked so frightened. I could not imagine what she was going through. I was 25 when I had my son, and though no one is physically prepared to be a parent, I was an adult, I was working and was living with my partner. Together we learned to be parents. however, she is a child herself and she would have to learn to be behave like and adult and learn to be a parent all at once. That is not easy to do.
I do not know what she was really going to to, but I think about this girl and whether she ran away or not. I also wonder if maybe she got the courage to say something to her parents and if the father is being supportive of whatever decision she decides to make. Of course running away is not a good decision. That would be another hopeless teenager in the streets and soon and baby as well. Hopefully she has supportive parents and she can come to a rationale decision on what to do. All I have to say is "God bless her and may he be by her side".
