Music

As far as music goes, I'm not picky. I have everything from Sinatra to Lady Gaga on my MP3, and I listen to most everything that pops up on the radio - obnoxious heavy base, untranslatable rap lyrics, and teeny-bopper music being the only true exceptions to that rule.

It's only recently that I've been clinging to music as a lifeline, however. Since I make longish commutes and sometimes have to sit in quiet for a couple of hours before class, iTunes and the iPod have become my best friends. Don't get me wrong - I'll talk to people occasionally, even willingly pull the buds out of my ears to listen to them talk. But sometimes its just easier to sit back and half listen to lyrics and melodies you've heard before and let your mind wander.

It's not a necessity, but it makes the time go faster and be a little more bearable.
