Career Path

My favorite part of college is picking out a major (insert sarcastic voice). I cannot understand how in the world colleges expect their students to decide what they want to do for the rest of their lives at such an early age. I know I had trouble when I entered Hofstra University during my freshmen year. I was originally a forensic science major and it just hit me one day that I couldn’t see myself working in a laboratory all the time. When I made the switch to my current major, business, I was a transferring to Stony Brook University. I am still not 100% sure if this is a field I want to pursue after college, but it is a little better than what I was doing before. So all in all, it is unfair to assume that students know what they want to become while they are still trying to understand who they are as individuals. However, I will admit one thing; I would love to do something involving film.
