The beginning of the end for print media...maybe not.

As many of us should be aware there is increased talk of news organizations charging readers for their online content. Although some may argue that the internet should remain a free source of information, this concept comes as no surprise as news corporations need to find a way of recouping the losses they are suffering from dwindling print circulations. What did come as a surprise to many, however, was the announcement made by New York Times that NYTimes.com will introduce a metered model at the beginning of 2011. Clearly this has been an increasing cause for concern for print publishers and it looks as if this is the solution they will undertake.
