WOW
It seems if you want to go away from reality and be someone else and make your life seem interesting... people tend to repress and go back to their imagination and enter the world of video games. I would admit that I do play them, but differently not world of warcraft (sorry if I offend anyone who does). People making their own character to enter a non-realistic lifestyle and waste actual real money to put into a game is pathetic. I think it is cool to see how people can be someone else, but why get so deep into it? I saw a program on discovery about kids getting so deep into WOW that they have licensed psychologist in the video game now counseling kids to have a healthy social life and not to rely on video games. I guess in a sense they are being social by having contact with other people in an odd form, but shouldn't human actual content be healthy? I understand to a point it can make a person break the barrier of being shy, but how can you communicate to the real world. I think like anything, an addiction can be bad even if it's not harming you physically. Video games and combining social connections seems like a problem into todays world. People need to still be creative and use their imagination, but for something real and logical.
