What I learned in THR 216

This has been one of the most untraditional classes I have taken in Stony Brook. The class discussions on modernism and technological vitalism were such a big topic of the semester. I got to know what other people my age think of society today and their plans on to deal with it in the future. It is a great class to just express your creativity and experiment with your abilities. The blogs itself were a great way of putting what you’re thinking about on paper. The world and its components like the people, culture, and technology are always changing. This class catches up with the advances so you can think about today as well as tomorrow. Half of the jobs that are available today will not be there ten years from now because of the rapid advances in technology. It is important to grasp the concept of “change” and adjust to it so tomorrow won’t be a “beach ball of death”

"Humanoid Hour, Humanoids, Humanoids. Eyes on me, gang. Oh, Abby's here, now we can start. You get the A for the day!" The semester is over, and as trying as it may have been sometimes, I don't think I am alone in saying that I am going to miss this class. It was so unique, and Professor Baldwin was about as original as they come. I think we learned a lot about media and life in general, albeit from unconventional means. It was a fun way to end the year, with our presentations at The Tank, and I think we had all bonded by this time, so we were able to really cheer each other on. We all put out great work, and had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wanted to have an unorthodox learning experience, and for all of those that like Pabst Blue Ribbon ;).

Midterm - Mr. Cool

These are pictures of professor Baldwin during our midterm showing us his own version of cool tricks and playing around with different movements so that they could project on the wall. He told me not to sell these photos on ebay so I can only blog about it. Professor Baldwin is the coolest!! (A for the day for me?)
