what if we had tails

Its a funny thought that I just had to blog about. I know it doesn't have to do with the vital materialism of the day but really how different would life be if we had a tail? Would we be able to use it, to say pick stuff up or play ping pong? Would all clothing we where be different? Would people have tail piercings or tattooed tails? If it was cold out would there be tail warmers. Could you show your tail or would it be something like taboo? There is just so many possibilities. I think in a way having a tail or not could be related to technology. No one thinks of this as something real or possible, but isn't that what new technology is. In 1950 you told someone that they could talk to 5 people at once on a machine and that you could see them as well as they could see you. Many would think you are crazy. If you told someone 50 years ago that celebrities would write what they were doing every 15 minutes then people would just look at you funny. Who knows what the next 50 years brings.
