These are my thoughts before I actually start second life. I guess this is sort of an experiment on before and after and see if my thoughts or views change once I get on it. They might change even more negatively or maybe some how less negatively.
Right now, I think second life could be a cool thing to experiment with, however, since there is no rules it can easily be taking advantage of and abused, which can make it into an awkward or strange environment. I also think its a place for people to escape reality and to try to be happy in the virtual world. Being on second life boosts someones' confidence since they actually dont have to see the person they are contacting. Also, escaping your true looks and being who ever you want also boost confidence.
Obviously, this doesnt apply to everyone since some people just like to mess around and dont take it seriously. Well im off to my second life!
