midterms

midterms I feel are slowly killing me. It's the fact of how it counts so much of your grade and all the material you must remember from the beginning of the semester. Yes we should be paying attention and going back & forth through our notes to look up information we learned, but no one really does that. Everyone at this school is a good student because we got into stony brook, but still no one is that perfect. We have social lives and other problems to attend then school. I think in general there should be no tests because its seeing if you can retain information for a bit then spit it out then forget it. Understanding the material and truly knowing what happens would be more effective then memorization.
