My room mate is from Canada. Last night when I mentioned Hierogliphics, she didnt understand..... she is currently taking Egyptian studies. She didnt know the furtile crecent, mesopotamia, the rosetta stone or what irrigation was. She is not as dumb as a rock, but dont Americans learn that at a young age? Those lessons were instilled in my NY education from the 6th grade on. Its strange to not be able to comprehend that someone doesnt know about the beginning of our world. The history that has created our humanity. You can't judge the absence of knowledge. Perhaps Ignorance truly is bliss.
