Hockey

Boy I am so excited for the playoffs this year. I have been a hockey fan for a number of years, but was slowly losing interest in the sport. One of the reasons was that my favorite team, the Phoenix Coyotes, played terribly over the last eight to nine years. I was hopeful that the team would turn it around sooner or later, and it just so happened to be sooner than later. Of course I was skeptical at the beginning of this season because Wayne Gretzky stepped down as coach. In addition, the team was facing bankruptcy, a diminishing fan base, and possible relocation. But somehow they managed to turn it all around under Dave Tippett. His philosophy, much like mine, is all about defense. I love this young group of players being lead by the veteran Shane Doan. I know the Coyotes will do well in the playoffs and I cannot wait to watch their games.
