Busy Weekend

Being that I one of the non mac users in class, I have yet to receive the full syllabus so cannot tie my blogs back to any assigned readings. Having said that, I will just tie back what happened this weekend to the overall theme of the class, Vitalism vs. Materialism.

It was a pretty packed weekend with my little brothers birthday on Friday, a friend's birthday that same night, Saturday was Chinese New Years (so spent time with gf's family), as well as chinese new years on Sunday and Valentine's day this same day. I think many people are as busy as I was this weekend and the materialism aspect is a huge help where none of this would be possible. My Computer and Cell phone especially helpful for me this weekend in organizing all the events, being at the right place at the right time, and staying in contact with family, friends, and girlfriend. I think it is because I am so accustomed to the luxury of technology that I use it to help me as much as I can. Meeting my family again and my gf's family is the vitalism aspect of it, the one on one/ That was great but I don't think I would have been able to have the Vitalism part without the Materialism part. In this way they coexist and support eachother.
