Abroad

I know there's a world out there. Past my room, my street, my campus, even the island I live on. I'm stunned by the pictures, the cultures, the people even the language I can't begin to understand. These images, these sounds, they're everywhere. Inescapable and far too interesting to look away. It all seems to perfect and promising.

But I can't bring myself to want to leave. There's no reason. It's all at my fingertips. A quick few keywords on Google and millions of pictures pop right up of these far off places. Another few clicks and I can get all the information I could ever want and need on these places. And a few more typed words and a couple of pages later I could talk / type out what I want to say to people living there(perhaps even physically using webcam, should I be so inclined).

I haven't decided if this is a blessing for someone reserved or incapable, or a hinderance for development.
