Until this semester, I never realized how extensive the fitness opportunities are on campus. Today I went to a total body work out which lasted 55 minutes and I must say it was pretty hard. I'm aching already. There is a whole variety of classes and all of them are very interesting. We can do yoga and ab exercises and even meditation. This classes have pretty good turn outs but usually its only women, which I don't understand. Do guys think that they won't get a good enough work out out of the class? Or do they just prefer to be more independent in their work outs? Anyways, we also have the gym at several times a day, where you can rent balls and equipment for a full use of the gym. We have tennis courts open to the general population, as well as a pool that we can use through out the week. We also have one credit courses that teach to swim and to become instructors and lifeguards. It's pretty great and since we all pay for it, I think we should take full advantage.

gym....
I've been going to the gym everyday this week. It may seem a little extreme, but if I'm going to wear the clothes that a ballroom dancer wears, I have to get in better shape. The next dance my instructor wants to teach us is a routine to a song called "teeth" by Lady Gaga. It's a little intense, and as my teacher puts it - she wants it to be very sexy! Which means me wearing very little clothing - I'm not so excited about it. Hence, why I now have to hit the gym everyday until the performance and eat healthier than I've ever eaten. No soda, no fast food (which is hard on this campus). Only water, fruit or salads for me. I'm also going to dance practice 4 times a week. So I feel like I'm getting plenty of exercise. Sometimes though, I really don't feel motivated to go to the gym.
It's hard sometimes when I'm sitting in my room - quite happy to be in the warmth and comfort - and then realize that it's time for me to go to the gym or to dance practice. Especially now, after a couple days of going, my muscles hurt. I have never been a gym-junky, so now - I'm in pain! My arms hurt, my legs hurt, my abs hurt... its fun stuff. I mean I suppose it's all for a good reason. I just gotta get my butt of my chair and get motivated once in a while.
