THE CLASS : Final Assessment

Well, it's over.

With the gig our last class ended, and with this post my 100 blogs are complete.

It's been a lot of things. This class will certainly be remembered as one of the craziest I've ever been in, but I'm sure as hell never going to forget it.

Despite all my complaining I did learn how to used a few things, and I was proud of what I managed to scrounge together. I pulled out my camera and managed to get a few interesting shots together. Without this class I would have never been able to photograph my fat bird friend. In fact, if it wasn't for this class I probably wouldn't have been able to get my hands on or the stories about my past family. Well, I would have gotten them eventually, but it's nice to get the now, while I still have someone around to explain the story.

Truth be told it wasn't all bad sitting in the back corner for 80 minutes at a time. It was... interesting. I wasn't partial to being on the spot or on camera, but it was entertaining to see it happen to everyone else. The discussions were modern - something I don't get much in Theater History or Costume Design.

All I can safely and without a doubt say is this class was nothing like I've ever been in before.

THE TANK: Final Assessment

To be totally honest, I was actually impressed.

When I was riding in, I honestly thought we were going to end up in some hole-in-the-wall dive bar. I thought it was going to be cramped and disgusting, possibly in some alley somewhere. But I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a legitimate theater. Can't say I was suspecting it.

As for the turnout - well that was better than expected too. We had a pretty good gig, all things considered, even though we wouldn't have exactly been able to stuff the 2000+ people we bombarded. And we even got a solider to talk to. Briefly. But it's better than I thought it was going to be.

The performances were actually really great to watch. Some were funny, some were serious - the music ones were all great. The adaptations to the scripts were really interesting too : mashups have a sort of ring to them. MSP Jitter was a nice touch, but the techno kind of bored into my brain after a while. The films were all pretty cool too; the last couple especially- if only because I hadn't seen them before.

All in all, it was a pretty good show. It wasn't what I was expecting, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Gonna upload a handful of theses... Mostly the violin and Flute because the one of the entire performance was like 1 minutes and youtube hates me. You get 1 minute or so snippits, then.

Something Different!

Last time I went to Atlantis Dad tried to feed the skates (small stingrays). They knew what was up, so they plastered themselves to the side of the lagoon thing and tried to beg. Aw.

Planting

I finally got the chance to plant he myriad of flowers my Dad brought.

It was actually pretty nice to actually go outside and do something for a change. I mean, running errands or hopping in the car or getting from class to class is all well and good, but I haven't actually gone outside for the hell of it in what seems like forever. Planting just happened to be the best excuse to do so.

So now my front yard looks pretty, I actually got some Vitamin D, and I saved two little oak trees the squirrels forgot about planting.
