The World According to Me

I like to follow the rules, and break them now and again. I like to look good, feel good, and treat others well. I believe I am no better or worse than anyone else. I believe that we work for what we want but that luck plays at least a small part. I believe in taking chances but always having a back up plan. I believe that for every carrot we eat, we should eat some cake. I think we spend entirely too much time on the computer, yet I think it has opened us up to a whole different world. I'd rather read than go out and party, and you won't find me reading "Twilight" but don't be surprised to see me curled up with "The Presidential Diary of Ronald Reagan." I believe in learning as much as we can but we shouldn't waste time with something that doesn't interest us. We shouldn't worry about what others think of us, or if we are making a fool of ourselves. Anyone that judges us doesn't matter. I believe in blasting The Backstreet Boys and singing at the top of our lungs. I believe in living our lives!!!!!

Helicopter ride in Atlantic City!!!!

Last weekend I went to Atlantic city with a group of friends and we had a blast!!! This is a video of the helicopter ride that we went on. It was sooo much fun and one of the coolest things I've ever done. It was my first time on a helicopter so you can see that I was REALLY excited in the video. It was awesome flying down the shore line of Atlantic City. The view was beautiful! I love trying out new things and I'm glad we did this. You just appreciate life more with all the amazing things that you can do. To think that we started as cavemen to becoming an intelligent population that created things such as helicopters!

zero sum winter

THE SNOW DOES A GOOD JOB. The city is covered. The freedom to move has been minimized. They closed many things before this even started. It is winter after all. The snow adds a democratizing process. It covers and then hinders. In this pervasiveness it is beautiful. It covers the brownstone and the vertical ‘lift’ of the trees. No wind. The sound of cars struggling through the streets makes a pervasive hiss. The shovels scrape, as homeowners are out early.

Between the ‘vectors’ of what you are told you could expect…from your parents, from your friends, from your intimates, from your spouse, from your job, from your bank, from your doctor, your undertaker...from all of the knowledge that you can pick up in-between you also maintain a degree of skepticism. What if they are lying? Are the fundamental motivations of the modern business all about zero sum relations of taking from one source and allocating to another?
