Health and Safety Violation

So on Friday I had an inspection in my dorm room. We have a new RA this semester. Before my room passed every time, no problem. This time however it was different. The new RA didn't like the clothes line in the window. I don't have a problem removing it. The problem lies in the fact that I didn't know that this was a problem because my old RA didn't declare it a problem. So now who's right? Was my old RA just lazy or is this one being super cautious? I don't know whether to bring this up to my RHD and whether or not I will get a write up or if this is just a warning. I wouldn't want one write up because different RAs have different rules. I'm also worried this will stay with me for the rest of my Stony Brook career. =(
