Don't take your freedom for granted. In Afghanistan it has become a social norm that women are to be covered in something called "Burka", whenever they come out of their house. Women are treated as housekeepers and have no say in the government. Although, now we are seeing a trend towards democracy, as more women are acquiring roles in the government.
