xanga/myspace/facebook then what?
When I first heard about facebook, I thought to myself... How is facebook any different from myspace? I didn't start facebook until Junior year of high school. Myspace was just the same as facebook minus all the different applications. The reason why I started facebook was because everyone started leaving myspace and I had no other choice but to make one. All you do on facebook is post pictures of yourself and add comments on other peoples walls. Myspace was just a way to advertise yourself. I personally liked the xanga concept except the part about the number of props. In Junior High school, people would compare how many props they got in one day. If you got more than 50, you were considered popular. I mean how lame is that? Although the whole props thing was stupid, I really liked how people were able to express/write about something. People on xanga were able to give feed backs about the entry too. The whole layout format was so cool!!! Now that Xanga is deaded, I have no other choice but to stick with facebook. What's the point of having a different networking site, if all we're going to do is add comments to each other and post pictures up. I wonder what networking site would be the next thing?
