Ok, for my documentary I decided to try and sort of what we had discussed in class. Instead of just concentrating on the changing role of women I would like to do a commentary on the new meanings of age. They say that 40 is the new 30 and if so is 22 the new 12? My mother is 50 years old and still doing triathlons and going to school for her Phd in nursing. When my grandmother was 50 she was retired, completely white-haired, and a grandmother. With this film I hope to show what these new definitions of age mean. Is it like Will Smith said, Age ain't nothing but a number? I feel like this new definition of age is really a production of the expensive society that we live in, that people are aging slower because they have to work longer.
