Campus food, Diets, and trying to combine the two...

I ballroom dance, and part of my dancing means I have to be in shape. I'm not exactly the healthiest person in the world, and I never have been, but I started dancing almost 2 years ago now, and I decided that I would like to take that much mroe seriously than just a hobby. I would one day like to become a professional. Now, with all this in mind, I have to exercise regularly and also eat well. The exercise part is not so difficult, there is almost always a gym open and I also practice 3-4 days a week. I could always exercise more, but it's also hard to find the extra time between classes and dance practice. But, like I said, the exercise part isn't an issue for me - it's mostly the eating healthy part I have trouble with...
We've ALL heard or experienced the "freshman 15"... That is something I am desperately trying to stay away from. I don't have a fast metabolism and therefore, I have to stick to a fairly strict diet of what and when I can eat. However, this tends to be difficult when everywhere I turn I'm being tempted to eat pizza, or burgers, or icecream, or a number of different foods that are high in calories and fat content. I know there are healthy options - which is excellent! because if there weren't these options, I wouldn't be able to eat on campus, and I live on campus...
I guess all I'm trying to say, is I wish there wasn't sooo much temptation to eat these things. I have really learned to appreciate a home-cooked meal! I just wish there was something healthy for me to eat on campus besides a salad, because lets face it - salads get boring and they're not so nice in the ice cold weather...
