I need a job

So the semester is over and I'm broke. I really need to find a job for now and figure out a career. I am so indecisive I can't pick a career. I can't even pick a temporary job to make some money for now. But, this is a real problem. I have my car loan and insurance due the 19th (totalling about $700) and I am almost out of money. This is not good!

2 more finals

So I took another final today! Marine sedimentology (Yuk!) is done and over with! Now I just have my cinema in the ancient world and Spanish finals tomorrow and then I am done for the semester! This is so exciting! I just need some more motivation to study... I haven't studied enough.

This is Lucy. She is about 5. I got her and then soon after moved into an apartment that I couldn't have her. So she stayed with my parents. This week I am going to get her and she is coming to live with me.

5 Hour Energy

I think 5 hour energy is the best energy drink. It is small, just a little bit and tastes good. It doesn't make my heart race and actually gives me energy for about 5 hours. It is made up of mostly vitamin B so it is not even that bad for you. It is just a whole bunch of vitamin B at once.

Lazy about Studying

So I have 3 finals left and I can't seem to get motivated to study. At least I am blogging so I am doing something productive for school. The 10am final I have tomorrow I should really be studying for. Instead at least I will do something and watch Ben Hur.. for school of course. It really is. I missed class the day it was watched in my ancient cinema class and the final is Thursday. So in a way I will be studying by watching the movie. If I was motivated to study I should really go over my notes for tomorrow's final or do the readings for the movie class final on Thursday that I have not even looked at yet.

Book Returns

So I returned 15 books to the bookstore today and only made $85. What a bummer! I tried selling them already on ebay, but they didn't sell. I guess some money is better than nothing. I really need it now so I will take the $85, but jeeze. And there were another 6 books that they wouldn't accept. We are students and for the most part don't have much money. I think the bookstore is the biggest scam. They make so much money off of poor college students. The cost of books is rediculous!

3 finals down, 3 to go, and some blogs

This is my last semester at Stony Brook, except some summer classes, and that's it. I have completed 3 of my finals and I have 3 left. This is so exciting. I had 2 finals today and the final for this class on Saturday. My German Literature one was difficult and my sexuality in literature was easy. All I have is Marine Sedimentology (Yuk!) tomorrow and Cinema of the Ancient World and Spanish on Thursday. Woohoo!

Bugs is obsessed with girls and underwear!

This is Bugs. She is a 13 year old pug with alot of energy left. She favors girls and has her whole life. She follows me around and cuddles with me. She hates when you take anything away from her or sneak up... She will attack! So... what is hillarious is she has always had a problem with girls underwear... I just chased her around because she found them and she tried to attack me the whole time I tried to get them. I have to always make sure they are hidden because apparently she has always had this problem. The funniest part is that it's not like she chews anything else like shoes or anything else most dogs would chew. She will not even steal food if she sees it, just like any other dog would do. Nope, just girls underwear and she is sneaky and will get them at any chance.

14 legal medical marijuana states

Marijuana is currently legal in 14 states with a green card and many other states are currently working on it. The green card is not that hard to get and usually you have to be 16 or older to get it (not even 18 or 21). You can get it for back pain, egzema, etc.. It is set to be voted on and possibly made legal in states including New York this year.

Jack Dunn, a POW from WWII that survived

Jack Dunn is my great uncle (my grandfather's brother).

At 17 Jack Dunn signed up for the war, the year was 1943 and World War II was in full gear. When asked why did he sign up, he would say for love of country and then as a joke, to get three square meals a day. He trained down in Texas, and then went overseas. He was captured by the Germans and held as a prisoner of War to the end of the War. The story of how he got caught was that he and his buddies were out drinking and then got lost going back to the base and ended up on the German side. After the War he married his true love Marie. He actively volunteered at the Vet’s Home in Northport for over 50 years. To anyone who had the honor to know him, he was a warm and gentle man who always lived on the positive side of life. We knew him as "Crazy Uncle Jack"

Purchased a Chevy Cavalier in 1963 and drove it around till his death in 2009. Collector of stuffed animals he won at carnivals, decorated his house with them. Also took up beer can art in the 1970’s and made a beer can airplane, beer can gun, beer can canon. He was always happy, and would lend a hand to anyone in need.
