Irony at its finest

Yesterday I was teaching my roomate Ryan how to longboard in the middle of Tabler, when one of my friends who also longboards came outside. He offered Ryan a board so he didnt have to keep using mine, and Ryan gladly accepted. When Ryan was ready to take his first run on this new board, we went up the front of the Tac to start. Before I went, Ryan said, "I'm not opposed to wrecking myself today, just so I can get better." After hearing this, I immediately said, "Nah, You'll be good." So I started down the hill in front of Ryan, and ocassionaly looked behind me to see if Ryan was doing good. At the last turn, I turn around just in time to see Ryan sliding on his head and shoulder on the ground going about 25mph. After I found out he was ok, the first thing I did was laugh my ass off because of what he said before the run. I'm glad he had a near life experience though, so now he won't fear falling.
