The City

I think one of my favorite parts about going to New York City is the noise and people. I love how busy and chaotic it is outside, with a million people traveling in every direction. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle, and yet so many people stand out. The sound of people shouting and taxi horns can make it difficult to hear your own thoughts, but as soon as you step into any building, all the noise from outside goes away. For awhile, you almost forget you are in the busiest city in the world until you go outside again. I just love that phenomenon. I like how even in the greatest, most populated city, you can still find your own little corner away from the madness. I like how there can be quiet within millions of people. I love the city! :)
