V-Day
The hallmark card holiday is coming up. Lovely Valentines day to finally to your loved one that you love them. I mean I guess you don’t say it everyday so you have to wait one day out of the entire year to say “Hey I love you”. It’s a very materialistic holiday. I do have a girlfriend that I must celebrate it, but I guess it’s me being traditional. Maybe that’s why people do it because it’s been in our society for so long that you mine as well keep it going. It’s the “in” thing to do when a holiday comes up, and hey it’s even marked on our calendar so it’s even more mandatory. President’s day is on our calendar, but no one will celebrate that. If something consists of buying gifts for others, receiving something special, or celebrating to get wasted is what our society would put effort into to celebrate. I am part of those people, but it’s entertainment. It’s hard to put an argument on this topic because I do associate with it, but seeing it from another perspective it is a bad holiday. People will go all out and go big with presents to show their loved one they love them. Companies love these holidays because it’s money and that is everyones key goal is to make that cash. I feel no matter how you look at it society accepts it, so it will be there even when you can see the negatives.
