Tiger Woods

Why did Tiger Woods have to make a whole speech that was aired on numerous networks? They made it seem like he was the President making his State of the Union speech, but really he was just issuing an apology about his multiple affairs. I don’t know if it was his monotone voice or that I really couldn’t care less about what he did with his personal life, but I had to turn his speech off that I caught on a repeat of the news. Obviously what he did was extremely wrong, but what he did is his own personal life and I do not think a public apology for the entire world to hear was necessary. He should have made an apology to his wife in private and be done with it publicly. I do feel because he made a public announcement, the media is going to have a field day with his speech. The media is going to analyze this in any way possible to get ratings and/or spread more rumors.
