This is a picture of my dad and uncle when they were young. I didn't edit or enhance the picture in any way as I want to talk to you about this photo about how it says so much about my family in general and the relationship my dad and uncle have.
My family is your typical Irish family, just big old farmers. We are a very close family who live in the beautiful countryside on a farm. But no joke lads it is literally in the back ass of no where. I mean when I went home for christmas, the only contact I had with the outside world was the television as signal for the internet is non existent in our area (I also crashed my car the first day i got home, another story)! The farm is where I love and where i grew up. I have so many amazing childhood memories from there. This picture was taking on our farm around 50 years ago. I love this picture as this picture portrays my dad and uncle's relationship both past and present. They have the most amazing relationship with each other and one would never hesitate to give a helping hand to the other. One leans on the other when in need of strength. My dad and uncle were handed down the farm from their father when he died. They run the farm together and are known for their hard work and dedication to what they love to do. They rise at the crack of dawn and slave on the farm till 9 o'clock at night, only taking breaks for breakfast, dinner and tea. I truly admire my father's characteristics so much and I only hope i can live as a successful life as him.
