Thanks Coach

you are a poster child for your coach. In light of the Olympics, the public is reminded of the mental and physical devotion of the elite in their sports. but at every level, you are the Representative.

Back at home, I was a large part of the local competitive swim circuit. I was the competition. In reality, I am good for my area, but compared to the State and country, I am a minnow in a very large pond.

My senior year of HS I transitioned into a new club coach. 10 to 15 hours with this man has taught me more than id ever achieve by myself. Chris had a major accident at the end of his college career. With a newly constructed face, Chris is the symbol of determination and patience. He taught me lessons about competing and life by letting me take the fall from my mistakes. Until I entirely listened to his advice, I lost, faltered and became frustrated. We're now at the point where If he asked me to jump, id only ask how high.

A coach is someone who has faith in you on your darkest days. When you're training and there's no light at the end of tunnel, they are there with a flashlight. Its a dual relationship. You sell your coach. Your team. Your environment. People want to follow your path, and will make their career mirror yours. Thanks Chris... here's to you.
