NYC

How many times did you go to NYC?? And how did u feel when you went there?
Actually, when I went to NYC first time, I thought the city was amazing because I just watched the city on TV before, so I felt I finally came to the center of the universe!!! I do not know how American think about NYC, but for foreigners, it looks really cool!! Therefore, my first memories of NYC was soooooo nice!!Then I hoped someday I would gonna live in there.
Few years later, I moved from Tokyo to Boston for studying English. Actually, Boston was really beautiful city, and I felt comfortable to live. However, there was less entertainment than NYC. One day, I planned going to NYC with my friends. I was really expected to go there because of my first great trip. However, when I arrived at NYC, I was kind of disappointed because the road was so dirty, and subway was smelly. I wondered what my wonderful memories in NYC was. Probably, I was just having fun coming to the center of the universe in my first trip. Therefore, I could not see how the city looked like exactly. My image of NYC was totally changed in that time.
In fact, NYC is great city for entertainment and shopping, so I like going to there; however, I feel I do not want to live in there anymore...
Does someone have similar experience?? I'm just wondering...
