New York Stress

New York is a state with one of the most highly stressed populations. As a lifelong resident of Long Island, New York I am used to the fast paced society. It is very interesting to see the attitudes of people outside of New York. Going to many other states around the Unites States people are much more relaxed. There is a slower pace and people seem happier and less stressed.

I went with my boyfriend Joe to Arizona after Christmas to celebrate the New Year and he bought a truck and we then drove back to New York. We got to see people in all different states and it was interesting to see the difference in attitudes. We drove through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. It was a great time and a lot of fun. We stopped at several gas stations, restaurants, casinos, and other places. In each place people seemed much more relaxed and slower paced.

Going into different places around the country people seem to be more kind and caring than New Yorkers. It is sad to see that the fast paced and highly stressed New York society seems to always be so angry. The attitude of many New Yorkers in restaurants, stores, and other places is so much different than anywhere else. Why do New Yorkers seem so much angrier than people in other places?
