Needle and Thread

I've been learning to sew for THR 115. Despite my natural inclination to stay far away from most things deemed 'girly', this is my first time ever picking up a needle, let alone sewing a garment. As you can imagine, I'm far from good at it. It is rather simple, however, and the class / lab goes by quickly enough that it's not rip-your-hair-out frustrating.

I am, however, nervous about working on the actual costumes for the main stage show (not to mention the final project). Why would you want amateurs working on something that's supposed to be a precise art? I know there have been others and they've done just fine. But there's always the chance I can screw up in new and phenomenal ways. And since time is of the essence in theater, having to go back and fix things is hinders badly on the production as a whole.

Here's to practice and not screwing up (I hope)
