Ok I think I have a bit of an obsession with gimp and sketch up but it is by far the best thing since sliced bread! First of all they are both so user friendly, which is great for people like me that tend to struggle sometimes adapting to advancements in computer software! Gimp for example provides a variety of professional tools, which is great for us amateur image editors as we do not need to fork out big sums of money for the big boys like photoshop and the like's that cost an arm and a leg. Gimp allows us to do extremely impressive image manipulation all for nothing.
Google sketch up then is another thing altogether. This amazing program allows you to transform and develop basic 3d shapes into magnificent buildings and houses, as Professor Baldwin has shown us with his most impressive project designs. What is great about sketch up is it offers tutorials so you can pick up on how to use it most effectively.
All in all i have definitely found a new love in life!
