What is it about texting that draws its appeal? I'm dating a texting addict. He thrives off of the constant stream of information. In lecture we talked about constantly being connected....I think the bigger draw to the new technology is never having to say good bye.
He can read the blackberry screen just fine. "meet me here" "im mad at you" but can't understand that after I wait around for two hours that all I want is time with him, not the virtual reality he clings too.
It isnt just him. Its me. I feed it. Say good morning at the crack of dawn, good night and every detail of our day inbetween.
It isnt just him...its all of us. Ive never HAD to say goodbye to all the old flings. The 16 year old first love still ims me, texts me and calls me at least once a week.... and he isnt the only one. Even with the end to physical contact, its never the end to the emotional bond that technology.
